Nothing beats the smiling faces of kids when they are having fun. Today our kids have so many choices on how they spend their time and unfortunately most of their choices do not include exercise or personal development.

It’s very easy for kids to become products of our busy schedules and takes a little bit of extra effort to make sure they remain active. The schools seem to be cutting back on Physical Education and development and this really sends a strong message to parents. Get them involved!

Studying Martial Arts is a spectacular way to for kids to stay fit but more importantly its a great tool for the personal development of a child. Every skill kids learn in Martial Arts, more specifically Wing Chun, can be applied to their every day lives.

The ancient lessons of Kung Fu remain true today and through hard work we can all build self discipline, confidence, and character.

Take a look at those faces again (except for Bob) and get out and have some fun!

Trapping is a specialty of a Wing Chun Practitioner.

Trapping is immobilization your opponent by tying them up like a pretzel. You can use trapping of the arms, body, legs, and even the mind. Arm trapping pins your opponents arms so they cannot return a strike or use there power. Trapping skills can be applied in stand up or ground fighting situations. Wing Chun kung fu practitioners do not force the trap, or struggle to create a trap, although when the opportunity to create a trap appears they instinctually take advantage of the gift in front of them. Trapping is only one great part of the wing chun system.
